Smartlead Pricing: Every Plan and Add-On Explained

Smartlead pricing runs from $39 to $379 a month across four plans, or $32.50 to $314.60 a month on annual billing, which saves 17 percent. Every plan includes unlimited email accounts and unlimited warmup, so the bill scales with monthly sends and stored contacts rather than seats. This guide works through each plan, every add-on and real monthly totals by team type.

Smartlead pricing at a glance

Smartlead pricing is a four-tier subscription: Base at $39, Pro at $94, Unlimited Smart at $174 and Unlimited Prime at $379 per month on monthly billing. Each tier raises three allowances at once: stored contacts, monthly email sends and verified prospect emails from SmartProspect, Smartlead’s built-in lead finder.

Sends grow much faster than price as plans go up, so the cost of each email falls sharply after Base.

The short version: four plans, no seat fees, and pricing that rewards higher volume.

How does Smartlead pricing work?

Smartlead pricing works on separate usage counters rather than users or mailboxes. A plan sets how many contacts can be stored, how many emails can be sent per month, and how many verified prospect emails come from SmartProspect. Mailboxes and warmup are unlimited on every plan, so they never change the price.

“The most common SaaS revenue models involve subscription and pay for usage.”

Source: Wikipedia, Software as a service

Smartlead blends both models: a fixed subscription with usage allowances inside it. Five terms decide what a plan really costs:

  • Lead credit: One unique prospect email address stored in the account; it counts against the plan’s contacts limit, such as 2,000 on Base or 30,000 on Pro.
  • Email credit: One individual email sent from any campaign, including follow-ups; it counts against the monthly sends limit, which resets every billing month.
  • Verified prospect email: One verified contact pulled from SmartProspect, a third allowance that needs a $59 add-on on Base and Pro but comes included on Unlimited plans.
  • Email account: Any connected mailbox from Google, Outlook or SMTP; Smartlead allows unlimited accounts on every plan, so mailbox count never affects the subscription price.
  • Warmup pool tier: The quality level of the warmup network a mailbox joins, from Foundation on Base to Premium on the Unlimited plans, with warmup volume unlimited everywhere.

Because contacts and sends are separate counters, a Base account with 2,000 stored contacts can email the same people several times within its 6,000 monthly sends. Warmup emails do not count toward the send limit at all.

Read the sends limit first, then the contacts limit; those two numbers decide the right plan for most teams.

What do you get on the Smartlead Base plan?

The Smartlead Base plan costs $39 a month, or $32.50 a month billed annually at $390 a year. It includes 2,000 stored contacts, 6,000 email sends a month, unlimited email accounts and unlimited warmup on the Foundation pool. It does not include CRM access, the API or webhooks.

At monthly pricing, Base works out to $6.50 per 1,000 sends, by far the highest unit cost of the four plans. The bigger limits are the 2,000-contact ceiling and the lack of CRM sync, which force CSV imports and manual exports.

Base is a testing plan: cheap to start, but most teams outgrow it within a few campaigns.

Is the Smartlead Pro plan worth $94 a month?

The Smartlead Pro plan is worth $94 a month for most growing teams because it multiplies sends by 15 and adds the features Base lacks. Pro includes 30,000 contacts, 90,000 sends a month, CRM access, the API and webhooks, and the Growth warmup pool. Annual billing drops it to $78.30 a month.

Pro is actually the cheapest plan per send on monthly billing after Prime: about $1.04 per 1,000 sends, compared with $1.16 on Unlimited Smart. Pro is also the first tier where agencies can add client workspaces at $29 a month each and rent SmartServers at $39 per server.

What Pro does not include is the verified prospect email allowance by default. Teams that want SmartProspect leads pay the $59 monthly add-on, which brings Pro to $153 a month on monthly billing.

For most B2B teams, Pro is the real starting plan, and its unit cost is hard to beat.

Unlimited Smart: when the most popular plan pays off

Unlimited Smart is Smartlead’s $174-a-month plan, labeled most popular on the pricing page, and it costs $144.50 a month on annual billing. It removes the contact storage cap, raises sends to 150,000 a month and includes 50,000 verified prospect emails, so the $59 add-on is no longer needed.

Compared with Pro, Unlimited Smart adds five things:

  • Unlimited contact storage: No cap on stored leads, which removes the need to delete old contacts to make room, a real issue once lists pass 30,000 records.
  • Included verified prospect emails: 50,000 SmartProspect verified emails a month at no extra charge, replacing the $59 monthly add-on that Base and Pro accounts must buy.
  • Premium warmup pool: Mailboxes join the Premium warmup tier and can qualify for Ultra Premium, which Smartlead currently offers free to accounts that meet its eligibility criteria.
  • Customer success manager calls: CSM call access starts on this plan, giving teams a direct line for deliverability questions and setup reviews that Base and Pro do not get.
  • Your Email Network connection: Private OAuth connection of mailboxes through the Your Email Network option, which Smartlead limits to the Unlimited Smart and Prime plans.

The break-even math is simple. Pro plus the $59 add-on costs $153 a month. Unlimited Smart costs $21 more and adds 60,000 sends, unlimited contacts and 20,000 more verified emails. For any team using SmartProspect, Unlimited Smart is the better deal.

If SmartProspect data is part of the plan, skip Pro and start on Unlimited Smart.

Who needs Smartlead Unlimited Prime?

Unlimited Prime is Smartlead’s top published plan at $379 a month, or $314.60 a month billed annually at $3,775.20 a year. It is built for established agencies and high-volume teams, with 500,000 sends a month, unlimited contacts, 170,000 verified prospect emails, three SmartServers and three client workspaces included.

Prime also adds a dedicated account manager and a private Slack channel, which no other plan offers. At $0.76 per 1,000 sends on monthly billing, it has the lowest unit cost in the lineup.

The included extras carry real value. Three SmartServers would cost $117 a month as add-ons on a lower plan, and three client workspaces would cost $87. An agency already paying for both on Unlimited Smart would spend $378 a month, almost exactly the Prime price, before counting the extra sends.

Prime makes sense once an agency needs dedicated servers and several client workspaces; below that, Unlimited Smart is enough.

How much does annual billing save on Smartlead?

Annual billing saves 17 percent on every Smartlead plan. The discount is applied as a lower monthly rate charged for the year up front: $390 a year for Base, $939.60 for Pro, $1,734 for Unlimited Smart and $3,775.20 for Unlimited Prime. Monthly billing has no lock-in and can be cancelled anytime.

Monthly vs annual cost per year
PlanMonthly x 12Annual totalYearly saving
Base$468$390$78
Pro$1,128$939.60$188.40
Unlimited Smart$2,088$1,734$354
Unlimited Prime$4,548$3,775.20$772.80

Source: Smartlead pricing page and pricing fact sheet (smartlead.ai/pricing.md), checked October 2026. Savings calculated by GrowthStackKit.

The saving grows with plan size, from $78 a year on Base to $772.80 on Prime, but so does the cash committed up front.

A sensible pattern is to start monthly while campaigns are still being tested, then switch to annual once the plan size is stable. Monthly billing keeps the option to move to a different cold email tool without losing a prepaid year.

Go annual only after two or three months on the same plan; until then, the flexibility is worth the 17 percent.

Which Smartlead add-ons cost extra?

Smartlead add-ons are optional paid services that stack on top of any plan: inbox placement testing, dedicated servers, done-for-you mailboxes, client workspaces, email verification credits and calling. None are required to send cold email, but agencies and high-volume teams often buy two or three of them.

These are the six add-ons and their starting prices:

  • SmartDelivery: Inbox placement testing at $49 a month for 120 tests, $174 for unlimited tests with 200 sender accounts per test, or $599 for 500 accounts per test.
  • SmartServers: Dedicated sending servers at $39 per server per month, each with a dedicated IP and 24/7 priority support, available from the Pro plan up.
  • SmartSenders mailboxes: Done-for-you Google or Outlook mailboxes from $4.50 per mailbox per month plus $13 per domain per year, or pre-warmed at $9 and $18.
  • Client workspaces: White-labeled client workspaces at $29 per month each from the Pro plan up, with three workspaces already included on Unlimited Prime.
  • Email verification credits: Verification credit packs from 6,000 to 960,000 credits, sold one-time or monthly, starting at $32 and available on every plan.
  • SmartDialer: Credit-based calling with parallel dialing and local-presence numbers, starting at $9 a month, with the full dialer feature set on every credit tier.

Verification credits matter most for teams that import lists from outside tools. If verification happens upstream, our roundup of email verification tools compares standalone options.

Add-ons are where a $94 plan can quietly become a $250 bill, so price them in before choosing a tier.

The $59 add-on: verified prospect emails, not warmup

The $59 add-on is a monthly fee on Base and Pro that unlocks verified prospect emails from SmartProspect: 2,000 a month on Base and 30,000 on Pro. It is not a warmup charge. Warmup is unlimited on every plan, and the add-on is included at no cost on both Unlimited plans.

The confusion comes from page layout. On the live pricing table, the $59 sits in the verified emails cell directly above the warmup pool row, so a quick scan reads it as a warmup price. Smartlead’s help center describes it as a flat quality upkeep fee that covers continuous verification, scoring and enrichment, not a charge for data.

New accounts get 2,000 SmartProspect credits to explore before paying the fee. Teams that find emails elsewhere, for example through the Hunter and Smartlead workflow, never need it.

Skip the $59 add-on unless SmartProspect will be the main lead source.

Smartlead cost examples by team type

Smartlead’s real monthly cost depends on the plan plus the add-ons a team actually uses. The four examples below combine published plan prices with the add-ons each profile is likely to need, using monthly billing. They are illustrations built from list prices, not quotes, and taxes are excluded.

The table shows how fast add-ons stack: the growth marketer pays more than double the Pro sticker price once data and testing are included.

The founder example assumes three mailboxes on one secondary domain, in line with Smartlead’s guidance of two to three addresses per domain. The Prime example assumes extra workspaces bill at the standard $29 rate. Our guide to Smartlead for agencies covers how to bill clients for this.

Are there hidden costs in Smartlead pricing?

Smartlead pricing has no seat fees, no mailbox fees and no warmup fees, but a few costs sit outside the plan price. They are published rather than hidden, yet easy to miss when comparing sticker prices. Most relate to sending infrastructure and lead data rather than the Smartlead subscription itself.

Five costs commonly land on top of the plan:

  • Mailbox provider fees: Mailboxes connected from Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 are billed by those providers, separately from Smartlead, unless SmartSenders mailboxes are bought instead.
  • Secondary domains: Cold email usually runs on secondary domains to protect the main brand, and each domain carries a yearly fee, $13 a year through SmartSenders.
  • Verified lead data: SmartProspect verified emails cost $59 a month on Base and Pro, and outside finders bring their own subscription costs for the same purpose.
  • List verification: Imported lists need verification before sending to keep bounces low, either through Smartlead credit packs from $32 or a separate verification tool.
  • Plan upgrades for features: CRM sync, the API and webhooks require Pro, so automation needs can force an upgrade even when send volume fits comfortably on Base.

No per-mailbox fees often offset these costs; see our Smartlead vs Instantly comparison.

Budget for domains, mailboxes and lead data alongside the plan, and the total stays predictable.

Free trial and first-month discount

Smartlead’s free trial lasts 14 days with no credit card and includes 2,500 email sends, storage for 1,250 contacts and unlimited mailboxes. At the time of writing, the pricing page banner also offers 50 percent off the first month on any plan, which would cut Base to $19.50 and Pro to $47 for month one.

The discount applies to the first month only, so it is worth timing: start the trial, warm mailboxes for two weeks, then upgrade when the first real campaign is ready. Our Smartlead free trial guide lays out a full 14-day plan.

Which Smartlead plan should you choose?

The right Smartlead plan is the cheapest one whose monthly send limit covers planned volume and whose features cover required integrations. For most teams that means Pro; for agencies and SmartProspect users it means Unlimited Smart; and for agencies needing dedicated servers it means Prime.

Five quick rules match plans to buyers:

  • Testing a first offer: Base at $39 a month covers 6,000 sends and 2,000 contacts, enough to validate messaging before paying for integrations or higher volume.
  • Running outbound with a CRM: Pro at $94 a month adds HubSpot and Salesforce access, the API and webhooks, which most B2B sales teams need from day one.
  • Using SmartProspect for leads: Unlimited Smart at $174 includes 50,000 verified prospect emails, which beats Pro plus the $59 add-on on volume and contact storage.
  • Agency with growing client list: Unlimited Smart plus $29 client workspaces works until dedicated servers are needed, at which point Prime’s bundled extras become cheaper.
  • Very high monthly volume: Unlimited Prime at $379 offers 500,000 sends at the lowest cost per send, plus a dedicated manager and a private Slack channel.

Frequently asked questions

The 12 most-asked questions about Smartlead pricing.

How much does Smartlead cost per month?

Smartlead costs $39 a month on Base, $94 on Pro, $174 on Unlimited Smart and $379 on Unlimited Prime with monthly billing. Annual billing lowers those to $32.50, $78.30, $144.50 and $314.60 a month. Custom Enterprise pricing is available for volumes above Prime.

Does Smartlead charge per user or per mailbox?

No. Smartlead does not charge per seat or per mailbox. Every plan includes unlimited email accounts and unlimited warmup. Pricing is based on monthly sends, stored contacts and verified prospect email allowances, so adding mailboxes for rotation does not change the subscription price.

What is the $59 add-on in Smartlead pricing?

The $59 monthly add-on unlocks verified prospect emails from SmartProspect on the Base and Pro plans: 2,000 a month on Base and 30,000 on Pro. It is not a warmup fee. Warmup is unlimited on every plan, and verified prospect emails are included on both Unlimited plans.

How much do I save with annual billing?

Annual billing saves 17 percent on every plan. Over a year that equals $78 on Base, $188.40 on Pro, $354 on Unlimited Smart and $772.80 on Unlimited Prime compared with paying monthly. Annual plans are paid for the full year up front.

Which Smartlead plan is the best value?

Pro has the lowest cost per send among the three lower plans at about $1.04 per 1,000 sends. Unlimited Smart is the better value for teams using SmartProspect, since it includes 50,000 verified emails and unlimited contacts for $21 more than Pro plus the add-on.

Does the Base plan include the API?

No. Base does not include API access, webhooks or CRM integrations. Those features start on the Pro plan at $94 a month. Base users can still import leads by CSV and export results manually, which works for a one-person test but slows down any team that runs its pipeline in a CRM.

How much do Smartlead client workspaces cost?

Client workspaces cost $29 per month each and are available from the Pro plan up. Unlimited Prime includes three client workspaces in its price. Workspaces let agencies run each client separately and white-label the app under their own subdomain and branding.

Is there a Smartlead free trial?

Yes. The free trial lasts 14 days, needs no credit card and includes 2,500 email sends, 1,250 stored contacts and unlimited mailbox connections. White labeling is the only feature excluded, and SmartSenders purchases require a paid plan. Warmup emails do not count toward the trial send allowance.

Is there a Smartlead discount code?

At the time of writing, Smartlead’s pricing page shows a banner offering 50 percent off the first month on any plan. Annual billing also saves 17 percent. Promotions can change, so check the pricing page before upgrading, and time the upgrade for the month the first real campaign launches.

What happens if I exceed my monthly send limit?

The send limit is a monthly allowance tied to the plan, and Smartlead’s pricing page does not list per-email overage pricing, so teams needing more volume move to a larger plan. Warmup emails do not count toward the limit, but every campaign email does, including follow-ups and bounced emails.

Does Smartlead have a long-term contract?

No. Smartlead offers monthly or annual billing with no lock-in contract and no long-term commitment. Plans can be cancelled at any time, which makes monthly billing a low-risk way to test the platform before committing to a prepaid annual plan.

How much do SmartSenders mailboxes cost?

SmartSenders fresh Google or Outlook mailboxes start at $4.50 per mailbox per month plus $13 per domain per year. Pre-warmed mailboxes cost $9 per mailbox per month plus $18 per domain per year and arrive ready to send. SmartSenders purchases are not available during the free trial.
